Inside Sales Rep - IT Sales (2yrs Sales Exp. Req.) - Work from Home

Hummingbird Networks is a value-added reseller providing business Wi-Fi networks, network security, and IT network infrastructure products and services from top brands such as Cisco, Meraki, HP Enterprise, Lenovo, Aruba, Adtran, Netgear, Poly, APC, and more to businesses locally and nationally since 2004.

This highly motivated individual will be responsible for prospecting for new customers and growing existing accounts. You will have a direct impact on helping your customers create a network they will love!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Selling IT products, solutions, and services into larger SMB, Mid-Market, and Small Enterprise Accounts
  • Build customer engagement and relationships at the IT Admin, IT Director, and VP Level
  • Products and solutions sold include network security, LAN infrastructure, collaboration, storage, power protection, server, PC, and more.
  • Coordinate and present solutions that address customer needs
  • Plan and execute daily prospecting (mostly warm calling, emailing, and some cold calling) to key decision-makers, technical staff, and business influencers
  • Strategic planning with the customer, engineers, and manufacturers
  • Deliver exceptional service and maintain meaningful relationships with clients
  • Challenge customers to see their business differently
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
  • Continuous training to learn new products, services, and sales skills

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of Inside Sales experience, (preferably in the IT hardware and services space)
  • Account management experience in a dynamic, high-technology environment
  • Strategic account planning experience
  • Background of strategic wins
  • Consistent record of exceeding defined goals
  • Proven ability to discuss and present different solution options
  • Experience working with a large portfolio of technology products and services
  • An assertive personality, high energy level, and resilient character
  • Excellent and effective communication skills
  • Accurately forecast revenue streams and pipeline
  • Negotiating price vs. value
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficient in Windows OS, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Some travel may be required by car and/or air approximately 1x per quarter
  • IT Technical knowledge is highly preferred
